
Before working at Cassady Schiller, Mary Pat was with Grant Thornton LLP, a global CPA and advisory firm, for over nine years. During her time at Grant Thornton, Mary Pat focused on assisting clients with international operations. She managed US tax reporting and inclusions for US companies, including reporting of activities of foreign subsidiaries and reporting for foreign-owned companies. As part of this work, she not only calculated and reported foreign income inclusions, but she assisted her clients by explaining the changing tax legislation so that they could understand the tax impact of their operations. Although her primary focus was compliance, she also assisted companies with international restructuring operations. In addition, she audited tax provisions for foreign subsidiaries of US companies. In addition to her international work, she worked with high net worth individuals and US-based corporations. Before working at Grant Thornton, LLP, Mary Pat worked for Procter & Gamble, working in Finance in the Home Care division and domestic and international tax. In tax at P&G, she specialized in foreign currency issues.
Mary Pat has a hands-on approach with her clients as she works with them to determine their tax goals and how best to meet them. Her experience includes tax planning and reporting regarding foreign income, foreign bank account reporting, and foreign information disclosures for individuals and corporations. She also has experience with reporting for debt modifications and currency transactions. She also has extensive experience in representing clients in IRS audits.
Mary Pat is a graduate of Indiana State University’s Kelley School of Business, with a degree in Finance.
